These photographs were realised

by taking my models, usually

friends, to the dramatic surround-

ings of the Atlantikwal ruins at the

coast of Northern France. The

Atlantikwal was built during the

second world war by the

Germans. Places of death and

destruction, of man's depravity.

My photographs confront these

places, their harsh and functional

geometry with the soft lines of the

vulnerable body.
